Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get some sort of centralized heating in an older home that now just relies on fireplace and space heaters? Going out on a huge limb - and hoping for lottery winnings - what would be the best way to heat a house if money were no object? OK, you can all stop laughing your heads off now, no, really, stop. |

Hi, John,
Not to stick my neck out here, but I'm pretty certain she means in NZ... where she lives here in the US, keeping warm is not a concern!
All the best, Rae |

That's right, Rae, we are open windows nearly year round here in sunny San Diego! We have seen a lot of info on that 'under the floor' type of heating, and wondered if that would be the way to go to warm up an older home in New Zealand. Anyone? |

| Heat pumps (known as "reverse cycle air conditioners" in Australia) are the way to go. |

Thank you! This is very interesting, I am not familiar with this system, but from what I have read, it seems great! There is hope for lovers of the older home after all! |
