I live in Sweden with my family (husband and 2 children) but we are about to move to NZ. We have been to NZ on several trips and we just love the country! Now we are going to make our dream come true, we are moving. We don't have any jobs yet and we need to get some before we score the 100 points so that we can join the pool.
The tickets are already booked, we will arrive in Auckland on April 7th. For the first month we have rent a house on Waiheke Island (Auckland). If we don't find work in Auckland (we are both in the advertising business) we will probably move on to Tauranga.
It's a big risk, I know, but I hope we make it. Please keep your fingers crossed! Yes

I presume on a holiday visa? Confused

Good luck...sounds rather scarey Eek

with no visa's in place! Don't forget the advance passenger screening laws!

Hi Karl,
Thanks for the warning. We have signed a contract with an immigration consultant and they will provide all the information we need for the trip. They also tell us what papers to bring with us and they will help us with all the paperwork concerning our EOI.

It is scarey, believe me! But we want to do everything we can to make this dream come true. This is not just some silly idea we have come up with. We have been there and we love it! Now we are going to give it a try and the worse thing that can happen is that we have to return to Sweden. I don't want to become a "nearly did".
