|
|
Somewhere on this forum I am sure someone posted a "do's and don'ts" of preparing a CV for NZ employment purposes. Anyone remember where it was? Or if this info is available somewhere else?
The SMC points target having come so low has opened up another possible route for us, but I may have to move very quickly on the job hunt front. Need to make sure I get max bang per buck before NZIS raise the points bar again, so want to make sure my CV looks like an NZ employer expects it to look like to get a good start.
Thanks in advance for any help

Brilliant , thanks Moorf. You know you will not be allowed to leave this forum even after you have settled in NZ - you are way to important!

Hi Lee and Nicky
I used a book published by someone in Auckland
Write your own CV ; A New Zealand Guide Paula Stenberg, published by Tandem Press
ISBN 1-87-7178-77-2
I found this book very useful when I prepared my CV for a kiwi audience.
The other bible that I was advised to use was ; What colour is your parachute? This is more American but have very valuable tips
cheers

Abdul,
Thanks for that. I'll add those to my list of NZ reading materials!
