Hi Everybody,
I have been asked by the Visa Officer, to take IELTS test.
At the time of lodging the application (August 02) an overall band scroe of 5 was required to qualify. This was raised to 6.5 in Nov 02.
I need know, whether I will require an overall score of 5 or 6.5 to qualify.

Hi Sanjiv,
the requirements today is a score of 6.5 - that's what it says on the NZIS site. As you applied before the required score went up, I can't say if it applies to you as well. I'd recommend that you contact NZIS and find out. Most people posting here are native English speakers and won't have to sit the test, so most probably won't be able to help you.
