Hi!

Me and my Girlfriend are planning on moving to NZ.
We are doing our best to get as much info as we can about how to accomplish this.

Tho, the biggest "problem" is really how to make things happen.
Its really hard to know where to start and what todo next.

It feels abit like trying to get to a specific hill in the woods.
You can get as much info on what it looks like and what shoes are best to use in order to get there. But the thing that actually gets you to that hill is either with help from someone who knows how to get there, or a map on where to go.

The best thing would be to actually get info from people that have made the walk. That can inform us on what we have todo in order to make it to NZ.

We both have jobs here in Sweden and we have no kids.
I am 26 and she is 23.
We live in an apartment, so its pretty easy to move out.

..Get List..
1. Job in NZ.
2. Apartment.
3. Visa.
4. Workpermit.
5. Cash.
6. Bankaccount.

..Leave List..
1. Job in Sweden.
2. Apartment in Sweden.
3. Sell/Throw away Personal items, like furnitures etc.
4. Sell Car, Payoff Carloan.
5. All kinds of memberships, bills like phone etc.

You can fill in on the list if you like :)
We dont really know where to start.

what we do now is to collect as much info we can, and at the moment gather info from the people that have experience in this, either they have done it themselves or have friends that have, or if they are planning like we do and know what todo.

Well first you need to consider what kind of visa you are going to go for. I'm not to hot on this because a sa NZ'er I don't need to worry about that. Check out the NZ immigration website, theres a link somewhere here and see if you can apply for the skilled migrant route. Apart from that you need family here to make a decent fist of it. Otherwise you could get an investment or entrepeneurial visa if you have the cash or business plan. They are trying to make it a bit harder to enter the country. If you fall at the first hurdle you are not the kind of person a country wants so keep trying. Nice One
