Hi Guys
It's probably a daft question, but my wife is completing her NZ Nursing Registration and they require fee payment in NZ$.
Is there a straight and simple way to do this, sorry if I'm being a bit slow...
I was thinking about finding a New Zealand Bank in London and getting a cheque from them, obviously this applies later on to any applications at NZ House too.
Cheers, CC |

Hi Captain,
There used to be a branch of the ANZ Bank on the corner of Pall Mall & Haymarket when I worked in NZ House about 20 years ago! Don't know if it's still there though.
Try looking through www.yell.com

Hello CC,
Can you not pay by credit card? |

Why not ask the nursing body with whom she is attempting to register. They will almost certainly accept credit cards and usually you get a fairly decent rate of exchange doing that. (your credit card company will do all the conversion work for you) Almost all businesses here will accept visa and the majority take mastercard. Even corner shops take (and prefer) card payments.
Some bodies here will just take your word that you will pay when you arrive as people here tend to be very honest.
If all else fails, go to your own bank and ask for a bankers draft in the appropriate amount of NZD. Depending on your bank this will cost you between £15 and £20 or therabouts. These are considered cash and must be sent by insured airmail as they are very difficult (often impossible) to recover if lost. |
