Hello, to any of you who noticed our absence. We hadn't fallen off the edge of the world, we were just trying to sort lots out and were without internet access until now.
Well for better or for worse we are here now, we have set up the business, Snowmania in Mandeville street and have opened up. We are actually opening up two businesses but have concentrated on this one first as it is seasonal. There are masses of things to organise but we seem to have managed so far. The Kiwis have been very helpful but inspite of whats on the web our biggest problem was getting suitable premises, as it is we have had to take a temporary lease for 6 months so will have to move again in January.

A while back someone wrote in with the title ITS COLD HERE, INSIDE or something to that effoct. it really is. the houses dont seem to have insulation, and as for central heating and double glazing, forget it.
all that aside we're here and happy about it. So if we can help anyone else we will. more regular attendence at the forum from now on.

Any of you here who are in chch feel free to come in and introduce yourselves.

Hi Veronica!

Good to hear you're there and focussed on getting the business set up!

Do you stock snowboards?! Or should we bring our own! Will definitely pop by for a browse and coffee when we arrive mid Sept...

Take Care

seems to be a common thread that the houses that all of you lucky new arrivals on the sourth island are renting are cold. is this because you are living in older rental properties? are more modern houses warmer?
