My wife and I are both Classical musicians. I don't have a degree but I play piano with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC and I compose music for TV and movies as my full time job. My wife has a degree and plays violin with various orchestras and teaches violin to children.

I read some of the points stuff on the NZ immigration site but I was left unclear as to whether we would be considered "skilled migrants" We are in our late 40's with two small girls and we are really interested in moving to NZ. I have dual citizenship in the US and UK and my wife is a US citizen.Does anyone have a guess as to whether NZ would want us?

TIA

Have you looked at Work to Residence - Talent (Art, Culture & Sport)?Have a look at the requirements on the NZIS site. You don't need job offers as such but one of you would need sponsorship form an organistion in NZ..perhaps the national orchestra? Might be worth looking at..
Otherwise you'll more than likely need full time relevant job offer(s) to look at the points system, so may need to go out as visitors to secure offers.

I'm sure they'll be options for you, just depends what route you take as to how you go about things..
