Hi Guys,

Well, we have made the decision to emmigrate and the whole family is fired up about it! There are of course a few questions we would like to ask Wink

We have done the points calculation and get a total of 115 without a job offer. My husband is an IT guy that was employed by local council to keep computer networks and machines working - his job title was Computer Network Manager. He has a computer science degree. He has recently started to work for himself, is this likely to be a problem?
silly question: How do you go about getting a job offer? Surely if the whole process from start to finish takes 12 -18 months (?) If you get a job offer at the start of the process to help with your points it may not be open to you still by the time a visa is issued ? (I hope you understand what I mean!)

If anyone can give advice I would really appreciate it!

...just briefly - the process wouldn't take that long..with a job offer at least.. If everything is in order it would be possible to get a descision within a few months start to finish, although this would depend on how often they hold a draw..
