Hello all,
I've got 100 points in the test (without job offer), after reading some posts here I've realized that i need a job offer to get a chance.
I'm thinking to go there with tourist visa and try to get a job offer.
About me, my english is good but not native, I'm spanish, 25 years old and 3 IT years experience in network support. Do you think that will be difficult to find a skilled IT job?
Once I got a job offer and apply, how long the process takes ?
Thanks. |

Another thing,
I know that for Skilled Migrant Category the minimum IELTS pass mark is 6.5.
To apply for a work permit is the same mark?
Thanks. |

Hi Alberto and welcome to the forum.
Sorry, but the current points total now being picked is 165.
There are many threads on the forum from people working in IT, suggest you look at these to get a better idea of IT in NZ. You would probably need to go to NZ to get a year or two's work experience. This will get you an extra 50 points I believe.
The points total will come down, and has come down from 195 at the beginning of the year, but no one knows when it will come down to the 100 point minimum, if indeed it ever will!
Good luck,
Bill B |
