Hi all,
this is my first post on this forum which I really like for the friendliness and lack of bitchiness unfortunately found on other sites.
My question is: we are thinking of getting an acquaintance in NZ to send us some NZ newspapers so we can check out whick kinds of jobs are being advertised, how many in hubby's field and where. Which papers are the best ones for job ads and which day of the week would it be best to ask for, i.e. which day has the most. Is it Saturdays like here?
Thanks for any answers.

You can get the NZ herald on line and the employment section is there too. OK it mainly covers the Auckland region but you didn't specify which area. heres the link.. www.nzherald.co.nz easier than posting it over.

Hi Veronica,
thanks for your reply. I do read the NZ Herald online, but find there are hardly any job advertisements. I have a suspicion that there are heaps more in the printed edition, as it seems to be with other newspapers. Many ads only get online if the advertiser specifically states they want it and sometimes pays a small extra fee.
We are looking at Auckland, Wellington, ChChurch, as my husband's in IT, like everybody else it seems - but that's where there are most jobs, I believe.
