Hello all again,
If anyone has read any of my other posts you'll know that I've looked at all ways possible for my wife and I to get into Nz, from my rather weak telecomms quals to her hairdressing qualifications. 
It then dawned on me ( and as it did I had that warm glowing come on ) that rather than just try and convince the NZIS that my work experience in the army wasn't a waste of time playing football for thirteen years, I should try and join their army.
After a few phone conversations I'm pleased to report that initial soundings seem very promising, it may even transpire that much of the administrative niggles in NZ will be taken care of by the army.
Are there any other U.K. or U.S. guys out there thinking of the same, or are there any guys who have done it? Please drop me a line if there are; information, as they say, is most of the battle.
One thing they did mention was the need to take citizenship in order to be deployable on Ops.  Oh yeah.
If I do make it, please make sure you order plenty of Tubee Grip and Deep Freeze, Karl, I'm gonna need it!  |
