Hi Karl

Have just read your profile and realised you were a Chemist!! Oh my word, you must be clever!! I am studying a Bioscience and Microbiology course at the moment and I am struggling MASSIVELY with the chemistry! It is such a hidous subject! Who cares about atoms, whether they share their electrons or have hydrogen bonds?? Dreadful stuff! Do you understand this? Do you actually work as a chemist? Are you mad?

Back to the books...

Hi Sue,

Welcome to the DARK SIDE of science...........Time to fess up! Yep I'm a chemist (not pharmacist) thanks for the public humiliation No .

I specialise in Instrumental Chemical Analysis and in particular environmental science/analysis.......gadgety stuff!! cool

Nothing hideous about chemistry Yes it's all around you...and inside you.....it's what binds the universe together young skywalker Mr. Green (no light sabre smiley)

Where would you be without electrons, protons, neutrons, inter and intra molecular forces.......and of cause my all time favourite...yep.....the bondage whip

But do you know whats really scary Rolling Eyes I met my wife in a research lab Eek ....must confess she didn't turn out too badly Uhoh she's a Biochemist.....PhD.......

OMG she's just read this and wants her say....as usual! Nutcase

So over to Dr/Mrs Smith for a quick comment!

Hey Sue,

What can I say....Yes he is mad!!!

I agree with you who cares about all the bonds atoms etc as long as it all works. Why do we have to study it!

Better go now while I still have working fingers!

Bye

See what I mean Nutcase Power hungry Uhoh and in need of moderation! Rolling Eyes

Now get back to those books and write some essay's on the Jan Teller effect, electron tunneling and schroedingers cat!!

your reply made me laugh Laughing Laughing Laughing You are mad!! Nutcase I agree with Mrs Karl - who cares about atoms etc - why do we need to know as long as it works! I am studying chemistry as part of biocience - it is only basic stuff but I just can't understand it! have decided I am really really thick as I have bought x 2 books on chemistry - the idiots guide to ....and chemistry for dummies but I still can't grasp the basics!

My admiration for you knows no bounds!! Clapping Clapping Clapping
