Medicals?

Does anyone know if you can get your medicals done in NZ if you are just there as a tourist or do you need to have a work permit or residency?
Only asking because if hubby is out there for interviews and medicals are so much cheaper there it's makes sense to get them done there?
Also if PR doesn't come through in time for us all going over hubby will get a work permit and we will go over as visitors but will he then need 2 sets of medicals and police certificates? 1 set for the work permit and 1 set for the PR application or will he be given his work permit medicals and certificates back?

Hi,

We are a family of four and are going out on a visitor visa, we will get our medicals done out there as like you said , it's cheeper.
I can't see you needing two lots of certs though, should be ok with just one set, just get them sent back to you
