Hi all,
I'm going to visit the Nz as a tourist and I read that I have to show that I have at least 1000 nz dollars per month. My stay will be of one month and I don't understand how can I show it if I want to bring only the Credit Card and some cash (not surely 1000 $!). Furthermore, I want to ask u if is it a problem for bringing a notebook during the flights. Thanks again,

ddz

Hi!
what i have understood with reading all round is "you dont have to carry cash, just your papers should show that you have enough funds to support you".
About notebook i am dont know much. Infact i will be leaving in August with a tourist VISA
Regards,
madhu

Thanks for answering. I suggest you to read this page from the NZIS site:

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/Migrant/Stream/Visit/Visitors/CanIVisitNZ/WhatIsRequired/TravelFunds/

and it says: evidence of funds can be:

cash
travellers cheques
bank drafts
a recognised credit card with sufficient available credit

I don't understand the last point. I can have a credit cart but less than 1000$ so how they can check it?

Which papers do u refer?
Thanks again,

Its usually on your statement how much funds are left on your card.

your credit card statement. In the UK we get them monthly showing what you have been spending using your card and how much you have to pay back to the credit card firm

I understood, thanks. I think that my case is particular because I got the credit card since some days and I never received the bill of my expenses. In this case, there is another way to show them the amount of money?

Thanks,

Ddz
