Hi Moorf and all,
I read the mail where you write about Canterbury Software Org. I've just checked it out and before I join, I'd like to hear a bit from the people who have joined. Was/is it worth it, especially if one is not in NZ yet, in particular as far as finding jobs is concerned? And anything else you might find useful to tell about.
Thanks
Nisse |

Hi Nisse
To be honest I haven't been activity recruiting network members yet on the site although I have a little band of developers that I have told about it.
I have had good response back from those I have contacted via the site and the job register is very very handy indeed - lots of jobs added every week.
Other than that, it's what you make it
Moorf
PS - I joined their free services only. |

Hi Moorf,
thanks for your reply. I guess I have to go back and read the site properly again I didn't see there was an option to sign up for free services!

De-lurk and first post for me
I took a look at the Canterbury Software site and it shows promise of being a very useful community. I can't see mention of their "free services" however. There's the directory listings and email list, but that's all I saw in my brief scan of the site. Saying that, $75 isn't going to break the bank while we're paying in UK Pounds.
My area of work is in networking (IP, not social) and I'd like to find some contacts in the Telco/IP industry if possible. Any recommendations? |

Hi Moorf,
Thanks for your email address. I'll have to get a bit more active on the Canterbury site, haven't really done much so far.
Just saw, have same first name as you
To join up for free: click on jobs, then if you want to see more than just the job title there's a registration form. That's why I did, didn't have to pay anything
