Hi friends

I saw in NZIS web for 4 August 04 the selection point is 115 points.

My question is whether Job offer is a 'must' for applying immigration or job offer is optionable to add points in case my point is not enough. (or without job offer everybody cannot apply immigration/not accepted?)

Let say, my point is enough and I don't have any job offer, will I be qualified to apply immigration?

Thank you for the explanation.

cheers,

Hi,

I suppose you can apply but it won't be approved in the end unless you've got a job offer or experience of full-time study at least for 2years in NZ.
Moreover, "full-time" study must meet other requirements.
So, I'm afraid that if you don't have both of them at the moment, you need to get a job offer within 4months(? I'm not sure) after you get the EOI-selection.

Check NZIS-site below:
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/work/workandlivepermanently/caniworkinnz/skilledmigrantcategory/aboutthepointssystem/abilityassessment/potentialassessment/

Someone, please correct my recognition if it's wrong.

If you are selected via EOI and accepted for residency you do not need a job offer providing you can attain the current points selection level - you can buy a business in NZ or set up your own etc etc... at least that is the advice I have been given from this forum and from what I have read online etc.
