We are booking B&Bs for our August trip, can anyone please tell me the difference between 'ensuite' and 'private' bathrooms? Thank you so much!

My guess is that 'ensuite' is always attached privately to your room.
As for 'private' - I reckon that's what we call shared - for all guests to use, but private in a lockable way.

private is the same as ensuite..it is yours and yours alone...no one can touch your dunny
(that is toilet....)

Hi All
Also, when it comes to homes, "Ensuite" means that the master bedroom has it's own bath...which used to be rare here but is getting more common in newer homes.  |
