Dear friends,

I am a recent graduate of the faculty of medicine, I have graduated february, 2004, after passing my internship year (a year of postgraudate training). I am not specialized yet.

I am married. My wife is also a graduate of the faculty of medicine (february, 2004).

I am 26 years old. I have no job offer in Newzealand. I speak good English language (IELTS score = 7).

Please advise me regarding:

1. What are my chances if I apply for immigration? Which immigration category am I eligible to?

2. What are the useful websites that I can get information through?

3. How much is the New zealand dollar in comparison to the US dollar?

4. Should I look for a job offer in New Zealand? Is it a difficult thing to do, bearing in mind that I want to have a medical career. If yes, How could I start this?

So are you a doctor? nurse?

sorry not too bright me!

TMP Hudson seem to recruit medical people, or just go to the hosiptal sites direct and check out their jobs. If you are not a doctor or a nurse yet...as soon as you are...then apply. I know 3 women in the last few months who got telephone interviews from chch to England and all three got the jobs. So long as your qualifications are recognised here and you have a good phone manner you shouldnt have any problems.

Try www.jobstuff.co.nz too

Those who have done what you want to do, I am sure will be able to advise.

good luck
Nicky
