Have any of you knowledgeable people applied for citizenship by descent for your children? I've downloaded application forms from on-line but it just has details for submitting it in NZ. I may be a bit thick but can anyone throw some light on how I go about applying in the UK (and if you could throw in some tips on how to win the Lotto so that I can afford all this paperwork I'd be most grateful Nice One ).

Debs

Saw your post and dug out my letters from when I registered my 2 children.

I sent mine to the NZ High Comission in London and still have their letters that they sent back with the certificates.

I don't know the price now but it was £45.00 each when I did it in 97 and 99 and then you have the cost of the passport.

If you need any info, PM me and I will try to help.

If I knew how to win the lotto I wouldn't be stressing over the sale of our house??
We all live in hope that one day "it might be us" fingers crossed

Thanks for that Tanya. Will look at the NZIS site again and see if I can find out much more, failing that I guess I could e-mail NZ House?

We did this last year in the UK. It was pretty straight forward once you got the right guidance notes (in pdf format).
