New Zealand is becoming known as one of the most entrepreneurial countries in the world, a new report shows.
Preliminary results of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor study ranks New Zealand highest among developed countries in terms of number of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial businesses.
It found that 13.9 per cent of New Zealand's adult population counted as entrepreneurs and 16.8 per cent of existing businesses were considered entrepreneurial.
The country's success in this area of business was attributed to the efforts made to make new business and the high level of innovation and growth among existing businesses.
