Good evening folks,
just wanted to ask if anyone knows how to get to NZ house............from cork, ireland! haha. Which airport is best, trains, tubes, bicycles etc.?? We are a family of three in ireland who were hoping to move to new zealand in mid september, but now i have been offered a job in tauranga hospital and they want me to start on the 2nd of september!!! those of you with kids will understand the need to get there at least 2 weeks early to get settled in !! So we are also in apickle about visas, my job offer should be here this week Confused so I obviously wont have enough time to submit an application by post as they are now taking up to 8 weeks to process Eek So i contacted the nice people in NZ house and they said that since my job is on the POL that if i submitted our family's appplications in person that they would probably process them sooner Razz so if anyone has the official directions for dummies to nz house..........i would be so grateful!!. Also any tips about filling out the fecking forms would also relieve the anxiety levels Mr. Green Also if there's anyone else in or going to the BOP, would love to hear how you guys are getting on.
ps we are John, Roz, & Dearbhla(6yr old boss) & Beryl (staffie......the other boss) Embarassed

You should be able to get a nice cheap flight with RyanAir from Cork to London Stansted. Catch the Stansted Express train from the station under the airport into the centre of London and then a quick tube down to Picadilly Circus. I believe NZ Hosue is a short stroll down the road from there...

We flew from Manchester to Heathrow, got the tube from Heathrow directly to Picadily Circus on the Picadily line funnily enough! Takes about 45 mins I think from Heathrow.

Come out of the station and bearing right towards Haymarket (100-200yds or so) New Zealand House is towards the bottom of Haymarket on the right.

Hope this helps.

Hi Rozzy,

If you need a nice snack while you are waiting....as you come out of NZ house turn left and a few yards further on the left there is an arcade...in the arcade is a nice sandwich/deli/coffee shop ! Keep those fuel tanks topped up. It's also not far to stroll to St James Park and Westminster if you have the time and want to make a day of it. NZ house is quite efficient so I doubt if you will be there all day. Are you overnighting or flying back on the same day? Good Luck Nice One

hi evelynne,
when we decided to emmigrate, it didn't even cross our minds not to bring her. she is so adorable and i would miss her desperately and my daughter would be heart broken without her as they are inseperable! Any how its going to cost us a fortune to get Beryl out there but we also feel it would be good fro dearbhla to have something familiar to help her settle inand adjust to her new life.
