Hi all
As NZIS are still piloting the EOI assessment/dipping system and then verifying claimed points, it would be safe to expect that the first dip would only be a small one so they test and improve, then getting bigger as they refine things and build confidence.
Helluva way to run things, but that's what we've got. Will take a while before any volume can come through - sorry to the employers and those holding job offers.
So I wouldn't be surprised or discouraged if the first several cases are recorded with highest points, over 170 maybe. (I think if they only take about 100 or so from the first few thousand EOIs in the pool, the stratosphere will be surfed for points).
And we can hope that if this is the case that NZIS explain how the points came to be set in this way, and maybe they'll comment on possible marks for next dip ("going down, next floor is IT in Tauranga with job offers, no spouse..."

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for the feedback. Do you have any idea when the selection point will be announced?
It is frustrating for those of us who just missed the boat on the Interim category, but I guess at least I'm in New Zealand and working on my work permit. It would just be nice to know where we stood <sigh>
Keep us posted if you hear anything further.
Cheers,
Evelynne |
