Does anyone know how NZIS go about communicating with your current employer about your job status/description etc... I only started my current job in March and plan on working there till we migrate October next year. I haven't told my boss about this because of the length of time I've been here (doesn't look too loyal - especially as I made the decision before I joined), and it may also affect any promotion opportunities. Anyone else in/been in the same boat? Can you plead with NZIS to be discrete?

I'm the same from the point of view I want to tell them in my own time and not have them be contacted by nzis first.

All I did on my EOI was put myself as the contact for my job :)

Wow Nelson - lucky you.... what sort of jobs do you have there - have been told (and after a search online) that the IT possibilities there are pretty few and far between but friends who live in Blenheim say the Nelson area is GORGEOUS!!!!

Hi Moorf,

Its good to hear some good info on Nelson!! I have been told mostly not so good stuff lately like the locals being unfriendly and the area being abit soulless. I am moving out there end of next month lock stock and barrel. I am a travel agent and will be managing a branch in the centre.

I too have heard the IT jobs are few and far between!

Cheers

Sara

Hey Karl - Sure is a small world Nice One How are things, I have a torn cruciate ligament myself, so I have some idea how Mrs Karl is feeling. Hope she is well.

Hi Kiwibound - We have settled in Christchurch, Have been to Nelson, but only on an internal flight to Taranaki. We were only there for an hour and only saw the inside of the airport. Rolling Eyes
