EOI: Expression Of Interest - Initial application made to New Zealand Immigration Service
POL: Priority Occupations List - List of occupations that New Zealand Immigration Service consider a high priority to process, usually gaining you more points on your EOI
OSL: Occupational Shortages List - Pretty much the same as above!
NZIS: New Zealand Immigration Service
NZQA: New Zealand Qualifications Assesment - Government organisation that checks your qualifications to see if they are 1) recognised by New Zealand and 2) worth the points you are trying to claim for them
WTR: Work To Residence - One form of immigration process, see http://www.immigration.govt.nz for more details
SMC: Skilled Migrant Catagory - Another form of immigration process, see http://www.immigration.govt.nz for more details
ChCh: Christchurch - Pet name for this South Island city
PR: Permanent Residency - What you hopefully receive after your application is successful for immigration
LTBV: Long Term Business Visa - Not an immigration catagory as such, but allows people to stay in New Zealand for extended periods on genuine business
