Since I've just been, a trip to the barbers in Christchurch is $12 at a traditional barbers. There are shops that do it for $10 but I've been going to the same barbers for five years and I like the people who work there .
As usual, it'll cost all you ladies more to get your hair done - I'll have to ask my better half about that, but she's out just now spending money . As a matter of fact there's a lady who comes into my barbers and gets her hair cut for $12 just like the men. How's that for equal opportunites . |

| A report back from my better-half on women's hair dressing charges. Apparently Mrs JCM pays $24 for a cut and blow dry from a reasonably senior stylist. At a cheaper hairdresser or with a junior stylist you'll pay around $15 to $20 for a cut. A senior stylist or more expensive shop will charge $20 - $35 for a cut. Some places will charge more. She tells me that some women use '$10 haircut bars' as they're known where, not surprisingly, you pay $10. |
