Sandra...pop on down...it is only about a 7 hr drive away (with the 4 hr ferry crossing) you are more than welcome.
We will go to Strawberry fare, and nearer the time, I will put out "THE CALL" and whoever wants to come (I know penguin saver is coming) pm me for time and addy.
Good luck with everyones houses, packers, buyers, flights and look forward to catching up once here....

We should be there end July and we love puddings!!! especially our son he is six and the all important half.

WOOOHOOOO I AM SOOOO EXCITED!! I guess there is an element of "scary" but that's natural - do you guys have jobs to go to? What type?
We'll be arriving c. 20th Sept and have booked into a self catering apartment for 2 weeks near Hagley Park so we will have time to look around for a suitable rental property - after a post on here where I asked for Drive Times for Christchurch we realised that the areas surrounding Chch was a real possibility for rental so we are looking at the Kaiapoi area which looks nice from what I can find on the internet (LOCAL KNOWLEDGE WELCOME PLEASE!).
I'd LOVE to meet up - keep in touch and we shall arrange a barbie or something - the self catering place has a patio and bbq!! Will you bring your own firelighter (i.e. hubby!!)
