Hi All,
I searched in this forum but no relevant information found.
How to get Police Certificates for the periods of stay in USA?. My situtation is like this:
At present, I am located (working) in India and worked 6 years in US and 2 years in Singapore.
I would like to know what is the procedure to get a Police certificate for the periods of my stay in US. Whom to contact ? Should it be my local US Consulate? OR should I contact Local Police in the US cities I stayed?.
Is anybody in the same situtation?

Hi Indianadr,
What you can do is that you can write to the FBI for one of their fingerprint cards, once you get it then ask the local police to take your fingerprints. You can then send that card with your fingerprints on it to the FBI in U.S.A. with an international money order to get your certificate.
The certificate is nothing but the same card that you send to them with a stamp "No record found" and a letter stating the verification outcome.

Hi Graham
Thanks for the link. I am aware of it. But it doesnot talk about people who are no longer in USA but lived for substantial period over there.
Anyway, as suggested by "NZCalling" will send a written request for the Card to FBI and see how it goes. |
