Just received my EOI acknowledgement stating I had 165 points, and had been placed in the pool. Seen that the first preliminary pass mark was 195! Whats the chances of my score getting accepted within the 3 month time period. I know this whole process is new, but is that 195 pass mark likely to remain? Or was this deliberately high to test the standard? I'm so excited about the possibility of emigrating, I'm just hoping that my score will eventually be good enough (even if I do keep having to re-apply)!

Hi MJB and Welcome! Smile

If you haven't already, you should skim this thread...most of the answers to your questions (that are currently available) are there.

Cheers for that. I was a bit premature in my posting (first time), as once I looked elsewehere on the forum I found everything I was looking for. Great site, I think I'll be hooked on this until and (hopefully) after I emigrate.

MJB,

No problem...and you will get hooked as this is the best website on the subject! Clapping

Forgot to mention that we share the same score, and yes (if nothing else gets in the way Nutcase ) I'm told there should certainly be no problem for folks in our points range...eventually. They'll just need to weed out all of those over achievers first! Laughing Shouldn't be but a few months tops. Wink

Rich, thanks again.

We'll have to have a race!

Good luck with your quest, and roll on 1st March and the next selection.

Mike.

The picture does not look very good. fingers crossed

Best of luck to you all (and me too) Nice One

Hi Sandjiv - thanks for message - I went straight to NZIS and downloaded the document. It is so frustrating isn't it? It seems like I have been waiting years to hear something - only been 6 months in fact! Actually going to NZ in March on a work visa but was hoping to get residency before then. Some chance! Oh well...just sit tight I suppose - everything comes to those who wait....!

Best of luck!

Susan

PS How many points you got? What is your profession? Is it on the POL?

Hi Susan,

My case is bit more complecated. I am one of the few still stuck in old General Skills Category. For last 4 months NZIS has only one answer to my calls:

" Your applications has not been lapsed. It has not been allocated to the Visa Officer yet. Will take some more time. Sorry we can't tell you any thing more"

Just waiting for some positive decision fingers crossed

In case any body has any information on such cases, pl help me with the same.

Best regards and Tons of LUCK to all Smile

Sanjiv
