Can anyone tell me, if someone on work permit, being in NZ, marries NZ resident how soon can he/she get residency? And how can he/she bring children or parents from overseas?

Thank you for your answer. But question was "how soon he/she gets residency upon marriage with NZ resident?" As to 3 years for bringing family members, could you please point to the sourse of this info?

| Hi, can't answer the first question for you so would suggest that as you are in NZ you phone the immigration people in Wellington and ask them, they do, afterall have the most up to date info. You could confirm the question about family at the same time. (the reason I know that one is because friends of ours out there are waiting for the 3 years to be up before they try to sponser their parents.) We have found all the people we have dealt with at the NZIS to be really helpful. |
