Hi All,
We had a phone call from the NZIS EOI team in Welly last night to ask a couple of questions whilst processing our EOI.
I infer from this that we have now entered the pool although this was not acknowledged as such because it was a processing clerk who could not comment!
Time for NZIS Welly to process our application from recieving it ....... three weeks!
Just thought you'd like to know it's going to be a long haul....do it on-line if you can!

I've been reading all this great information for a few months now, and have finally finished my on-line EOI, will be posting it tonight! Good luck to everyone, and thanks so much to all for this wealth of information! San Diego is my home right now, and wonderful as most people who don't live here would think it is, we are looking forward to new beginnings in NZ, sooner rather than later! |

Hello all,
Yay, things are definitely moving on the EOI front. I've just taken a phone call from a lady in the NZIS to confirm a few details, mainly things I'd missed out on the hard copy form. It's Saturday too here in Wellington, bless their little cotton socks for working at the weekend.
I asked her what would happen now and she said I should be receiving a letter next week telling me what's what. I'm not sure if this is just confirmation that I'm in the Pool or the next stage. Will certainly keep you informed.
Good luck.

I am glad that NZIS is buzzing with activity with the EOI applications.
Havent heard from them since my last tel enquiry, and waiting anxiously for the letter.
Good luck to all of us

Hi Arlevian
I use the freephone line 0508 55 88 55 which is the national helpline for NZIS, as I am currently located in NZ.
I am afraid that this number cannot be reached by overseas callers.
I suggest that you call your nearest NZIS office and find if they can help or give out a number for their Wellington office
regards

Hi All,
I recieved an email from NZIS Welly inidicating the first 'dip' into the pool will occur at the end of February!
| Quote: | Dear Mr Smith,
Thank you for contacting the New Zealand Immigration Service with your query,
dated 16/01/2004 4:06:05 a.m..
Your question was:
How and when will EOI confirmations be acknowledged
e.g.email or post and when are the first PR invitations due to be selected from
the pool?
The answer to your question is:
Currently our Expression of Interest Team are
behind in sending our acknowledgment letters and confirmations stating an
Expression of Interest has been received and entered into the pool.
The fastest way to find this information out is to contact the National Contact
Centre directly.
Auckland 914 4100 or outside of Auckland, you may call 0508 55 88 55.
We have been advised that invitations will be sent out at the end of February.
Yours sincerely
Corey Edmunds
Immigration Officer
New Zealand Immigration Service |
We have now secured an Approval in Principle and will emigrate on that basis leaving the PR until we arrive in NZ hopefully mid March!
I'll keep you all posted!
