Karl,
Thanks for the update/letter. We spoke with our consultant last night and she also "confirmed" that the first EOI's to be pulled from the pool and invitations sent out will likely be the end of February.
I hate to spread rumors, but your letter is a pretty solid confirmation!
We're pretty confident, but not packing just yet. Keeping our for everyone!! |

Hi - have a quick question for Karl Smith....how long from the time of your EOI (I presume it was the online version?) until you received the letter in the mail? Many thanks! |

Hi SoCalGal (one assumes SouthCarolina?),
We sent our application by post on Jan 5th, we also sent one to London and despite attempts to cancel and assurances by London that this had been done it also ended up in Wellington and last week we recieved another confirmation so we are in twice and now have to sort out the mess with the EOI team!....At least we are in. By by estimation of the ref numbers generated one these two application I estimate they are processing about 300-400 per week. Hope this helps! |

Hi Evelynne_r
An approval in Principle is required for a Long Term Work Visa if your job is not on the OSL or POL. It requires the empoyer to apply for this and wait a 60 day consultation period for a job market survey. It is not part of the EOI or PR process which in our case we are running in parallel so that we can get out there and start living!!! |

Sorry SoCal....silly me just read your profile NOT South Carolina then! Rather Southern California.....I've only touched down at San Diego in transit and visited Santa Monica and LA! I should be touching down at LAX again some time in March (in transit) en-route to NZ!!!! |

Hi
I received a letter yesterday, from NZIS dated 4 Feb, stating that my paper EOI had been received and has made it to the pool.
I am waiting anxiously for the first selection on 16 Feb.

Hi Abdul,
Congratulations...you're in! Well, at least you will be soon.

I have a quick question along the lines of SoCalGirl's...can you tell us the date that you submitted your EOI to the NZIS? Ours was submitted Tuesday and I'd like to get a feel for how long it took them to process it and get back to you (and we'll ALL be in the first draw )
Hang in there everyone...we're in for a bumpy ride
Good luck to all of us! |
