hi everybody,

I have been following this forum for last 10 days and you guys are just too good. Clapping

I am one of the lot who is dying of suspense about the fate of my application. I had applied in aug 02 with 28 points. NZIS says it has not been lapsed. But no further information is forth comming from them.

Can any body help me with more information as how good are my chances of getting PR?

The whole family is completely charged up with hope. fingers crossed

regards

SK

Hi Sanjiv,

I know that NZIS have already informed those whose applications have lapsed and they get a refund of the fees paid in.

In your case, your first port of call would be the office that you had submitted the application, in your case I am assuming it was submitted to the NZIS office overseas. It is always in the later stage that the papers are sent to NZIS New Zealand, ie after they have already sent you the approval in principle.

I know how frustrating it is, but in your case your application has not lapsed, this means that it is being processed.
I was advised by the NZIS in Christchurch that resident visa applications will take about 1 year for it to be processed, with the large backlog that had developed over the years.

Keep up your spirits and I am sure something positive comes up soon
cheers

Abdul

Hi Karl / JCM,

With the new policy in change, the load of NZIS guys would have come down considerablly.

Would they be clearing pendings ones (left overs from old GSC) before they start working on new EOI ones or both run simultaneously? Any idea???

It's important for me as I am one of those still in pending GSC cases. Every body at home has already been in Auckland (mentally Mr. Green )

Kids are feeling nervous and being impatient to fly to our new home (me toooo Nice One )

One month downtime was arranged by NZIS to allow them to clear the backlog of applications under GSC and IGSC. If you have already applied under one of these categories you will have bee appointed an immigration officer/case officer to handle your application. If you have not heard yet I suggest you contact them for an update! Nice One

Hi Everybody,

Hope all of you had a Grand New Year Party Nice One

I am still to hear from NZIS on my pending application. Hope they process it fast so that we can start packing.

Anybody has an idea how many applications were held back from old scheme and whether NZIS plans to process them before taking up EOIs?

Can't wait to be there Smile

regards

Sanjiv
