I really don't know any more.
One of my colleagues is submitting his EOI via an agent, and his agent said that NZIS is still working through things at the moment, and isn't anticipating making the draw until at least 16 February. |

Hi Guys
The selection being made during the 1st week of Feb is what I was told when I made a telephone enquiry from the NZIS helpline
Shall ring them again sometime and see if I get any updates

Abdul,
Thanks for taking the lead on this!  As you can imagine, this is a really important issue for a lot of us. When, oh, when will the NZIS begin pulling EOI's from the pool? 
Please let us know if you hear from an authority...someone in the NZIS...when they will begin.  Or can you give us the number you called? It's important to get something factual instead of rumor.
Let's all keep our  that they get to work on this sooner than later!

Hi guys
I called the NZIS helpline and was told that selections from the pool will happen in mid Feb.
I had applied using the paper format and was told that I should be able to view the status of the application online after a few weeks.
Unfortunately, the number I called is a freephone number for people in New Zealand and cannot be dialled from overseas.

I received a letter from NZIS today confirming that my EOI has been submitted to the Pool and confirming my points total.
Apart from that, there was no further information that we don't know already.
Will let you know if I hear anything.
