I have a question concerning older children....well university age children that will be coming over with us you if we make the move...

If either my husband or I are on a Work visa/permit will the children have to register and pay "international fees"?

I am trying to figure out which route it is better for us to take...EOI or the Work permit.

Any help would be appreciated...

Also would be interested in people's experiences with taking older children with you to New Zealand.

Hi Laurie, yes, I'm afraid they will have to pay international fees for tertiary education if you are here on a work permit rather than as a permanent resident. (For primary and secondary education your children will be treated as New Zealand students if you're on a work permit.)
