Hi all

Just to let everyone who was kind enough to reply to my post on hubbies quals, we had a par done on his apprenticeship and onc and it has come back as a level 4 this morning!!!!! This takes up to 115 points so EOI was submitted today. We are hoping he may get more points for his other quals inc. management and business studies so I guess the next step will be a full assessment, do we do this now or would the advice be to wait to see if we are lucky enough to be selected from the pool? Am actually feeling really scared now!!!

Anyway love to hear from anyone else who has just submitted an EOI to share my panic!!!

Lisa

I submitted mine yesterday and panic is a good word. I only have 105 though, so I may be in the pool for a while.

115 sounds OK though and I am sure you will be in the next selection.

cheers

Hi Lisa a

We've just been pulled out of the pool with 115 points and my hubby is a telecommunications engineer too, so I was interested to see your post Smile

We are heading off to NZ next month, via 5 nights in Hong Kong, and are starting the job search in Auckland, which is where most of the jobs seem to be.

Have you been searching for jobs yet? If so have you found any decent websites? We've been using www.seek.co.nz so far

Best wishes

Justine

Hi Justine

Great news that you have been picked out of the pool with the same number of points as us and similar qualifications I should think. How long were you in the pool for, we only just missed out getting eoi submitted in time for the last one so fingers crossed for next time.
Andy has been sending lots of cvs out but I guess going over will be the best option we only got back from a hol in NZ in January but didn't do any searching then as we hadn't made up our minds if we were going to go for it or not. You will have to keep me posted with how things go for you, do you have kids to worry about we have 3 (ages 11,9 and 7) so schools as well as jobs are going to worry me now!!!

Keep in touch

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

we were in the pool from the end of January and have been watching the points come down since then, we were lucky in so far as our EOI was left in the pool after the initial 3 months.

We don't have any children (neither of us are grown up enough Mr. Green Very Puzzled), but kids seem much more adaptable than adults anyway Yes

Have you any plans for departure yet?
