Hi

Does anyone on the forum know the answer to this question

My finance and I (I am NZ Citizen, he's Dutch) will be going to NZ this
November to start a new life together there Smile

The plan (so far) is that he will apply here in Amsterdam for a 9 month visitor visa and when we go to NZ he will apply for Residency under the Partnership Policy (hopefully the Residency will be granted during this
9 month time frame).

I just got some info (from my sister in NZ who spoke to someone at NZIS)
that he must apply for Residency while he's still in Amsterdam and cannot come out on a visitor visa! Rolling Eyes

Has anyone else heard of this??

All is well Mr. Green Clapping

I just received an email from Immigration in Den Haag (Holland)
and he can apply for Residency whilst in NZ!

Just goes to show how wires crossed can cause a lot of stress Confused
