Just wondered if anybody selected this date has heard anything yet, just phoned the helpline who said its taking about 3 weeks from being picked to hearing something.
Having one of those is it all worth it days, the stress of this whole thing is really getting to me today.

Hi Michelle
As you know I was selected on 7th July also and up until this morning I had had no response to my communications with NZIS.
Just received an email from EOITeam@dol.govt.nz saying that the credibility check is complete and the verification is in progress at the London branch.
Here's hoping I hear soon.

Hi Glenn
Must be good to hear something, and thats all we want is to hear SOMETHING, please anything. Yes we are desperate. Problem is that we are going out in september want to. if at all possible, submit the application before we go. Think there is no chance this is going to happen.
Keep us updated on your progress.

Hi Michelle & Richard
Excellent news. Maybe a couple of Marlborough Vino's tonight to celebrate.
Funny how you haven't had any other correspondence from NZIS. Hope our lack of corresponcence works the same way.
Are you still hoping to get out by mid September or will this speed things up?
Whereabouts are you heading for? I have got a job offer in Blenheim, Marlborough and my future boss wants me to start at the beginning of October so that's why I need NZIS to get a move on.
Regards
Glenn |

Hi Glenn
Oh my head hurts this morning..... now why would that be ?????
A very large pack arrived this morning with the invitation to apply yaehhh. Its panic stations now as despite thinking I was organised have just had mad panic about how much we have to do. Our police certificates expired to day and Richard can't get a medical until 24th so planning to submit it all early sept. We have work visas so still hoping to go mid september just waiting for completion date for the house sale.
We are heading to Auckland, having lived there before it was the obvious choice and its also the best place for Richard to look for work and do his exams to requalify. You are going to my favourite part of NZ, if we could go anywhere it would be there. I'm sure you wil be sorted in time have you applied for Police certs medicals etc? If you get everything sorted as soon as you get the invitation to apply you can submit it.
Still not sure what happened to the verification stage but our application is fairly straighforward(I hope) I'm a nurse with NZ registration and Richard is a solicitor so neither of us had to have quals assessed etc.
Will keep fingers crossed that you hear something soon, let us know when you do.

Michelle - sounds like you will be out in NZ whilst the application is being processed - just like us. Are we able to take our passports to a local NZ immigration office to get them stamped with visa or must it be done in the UK - I can't find any info about this on the NZIS site
Aha - so we WILL get a pack through... wasn't sure if all done online or not! We presented our Police Check forms at the local police station today (they commented on how many of them they were doing these days for people emigrating!!) we were told that they quote 40 days for them to come back but would probably be quicker (some on the UK2NZ site had theirs back in 10 days!). |

Hi
I am hoping that we will be able to take our passports in when its all processed, they were fine doing that with my work visa. It would also be impossible for us to include our passports because they have my work visa in and of course we need them to travel with.
If the police certificates and medicals are all ready I am planning to go down to London early sept and submit it all then. I will take our passports and hopefully they will let me have them back.
The pack came today its all the invitation to apply stuff a copy of your EOI and an information book about life in NZ with lots of pretty pictures in ! It also has the contact details in for our case officer. This is only the second mailing we have had, the first being confirmation of our EOI.
They said the same about our police certificates but ours came back in 2 weeks last time, unfortunately it expired today so have had to apply for another. Both the police and the doctors have said they are very busy, everyone is leaving the country !

Are you given the opportunity to review and edit the EOI application form that you were provided with your pack - I need to add family details as we didn't put it all in on the online form as it wasn't points related |

Hi all
We have all our medicals , x-rays, police certificates and employment references. The only thing we are waiting for is my qualifications assessment from NZQA. I just received an email saying as soon as they get the report from City & Guilds the process will be finished and I know the report is on its way back to NZ . Had an email today from the EOI Team and they have confirmed we are in the verification process and our case officer is Nicola Bell
Our house is sold. Got two offers in after about a week and we accepted the second offer. £23,000 over the asking price We have a completion date of 1st October so thats why we are desperate to get things moving. My wife, Debbie, thinks we are going to end up homeless and selling the BIG ISSUE!!!!!!!
We do have one problem though, there isn't any rental property in Blenheim. So we might have to buy something without seeing it and then sell and buy when we find something more suitable. So if anyone can help with rental in Blenheim it will be much appreciated.
Regards
Glenn |

Yes there is a area for ammendments or new information.
Have heard that you are best to include all relatives because if you want to sponsor them later it makes it easier.
Glenn. Well at least you know things are moving in the right direction. Hope you manage to find a rental, have you thought about holiday lets ???. Sure there must be something. Excellent news about the house, around us nothing is selling and prices have ground to a halt. We sold for £3 K below the asking price so feel quite lucky, just want a xcompletion date now hoping for 14th sept.
I like to panic about Richard not finding work, he is practising his burger flipping skills just in case.

Hi Moorf
That will be great if you can do that.
We have 4 children so that is six all together. We are looking for either a 3 or 4 bed, or even a 2 if there is room for a blow up bed or two.
Regards
