| Indeed NZ local market fruit tends to be the export rejects. Theres nothing wrong with that as the differences are largly cosmetic and often unnoticable. For the really best deals go for a drive out in the country, where the growers are. You can get some really good honesty box buys from time to time. |

We bought a cauliflower for $1 in Nelson when we there last year!!
Seriously, that's a lot cheaper than supermarket veggies in England, and a lot cheaper than i remember paying for stuff in most supermarkets in NZ when we were there last year

I agree with the above also noticed that things are a lot more seasonal and prices vary considerablyl.
