Hi,
Does anyone know when the children in NZ get vacation time off from school? Do they get a 2-3 month break like in the US or do they go all year round with short breaks?

Hi Michelle,
Each term at state schools lasts around 10 weeks.
There are:
6 weeks holiday in summer. (Mid Dec to near end of January)
2 weeks holidays for each of spring, winter and autumn.
A number of public holidays.
Some other days too sometimes when teachers are having training days, which can be quite inconvenient for working parents.
Private schools tend to have longer holidays than the state school holidays I've listed above. |
