You would have no problem obtaining a large widescreen TV here. Prices are similar to the UK (converting pounds to dollars) which makes them expensive by local standards.
Your TV will probably be prohibitively expensive to ship to NZ unless it goes in a container with your other goods. We bought a cheap portable and made do until the better kit arrived. |

I am leaning towards the sell, due to the shipping cost/insurance. So I will use that towards buying a new BIG tv. - and playing the emotional heart string, get the missus to chip in as well
Having looked at various web sites the 36" doesn't seem popular. Panasonic.nz do not even list one? So, I'll have to go bigger and thinner...  |

If you still have the manual for the TV check out the specifications for it. My 32 inch Toshiba supports both PAL-I (UK) and PAL-B (NZ). Our smaller portables don't though.
