| You can apply for part time work! As a variation of conditions on your student visa. I think you are allowed to work up to a maximum of 15 hours per week and full time during recognised student holidays. You will need to register for and IRD number at the tax office to do this and apply for a variation of conditions if your visa has already been issued. |

Hi Emad,
It very much depends on your course requirements and under what circumstances your visa has or will be issued! The NZIS website has further information on this I'll try to find the relevant section and post it!

In full agreement (for what it's worth)...
If NZ university courses are anything like those in the UK, you'll have plenty of time for a bit of part-time work!

Hi Karal And Graham:
Thank you very much for going on to advise me .
Really ,i am a physiotherapist from a country ,english iS NOT our first language , so i have to obtain ielts 7.5 band to able to be registered .
i can not go there so i tried to pass ielts ,all what i able to here is band 6.
So ,i think of going to NZ as a student for taking ielts course there for 3 months , i have to pay one week before they accept me .
the week study, there, fees are 340 & nz , so iam so afriad that i can not cover all those with work they allow me ,
regarding work there , yes i can work 15 hours in the week ,and full time at holidayes .
i hope if one there in nz ,tell me my work so can cover my study and my living .
thanks
cheers
