Can anybody tell me how long it typically takes to process a work to residence visa, so on the event of a job offer being made, I can gauge the time scale from acceptance to actually making the move.
Any other relevant info on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Rob,

I'm currently in the process of getting medicals/X-rays/police checks done for my own WTR visa!! I spoke to NZ House yesterday about this very matter...they were very helpful, and reckoned 2-3 weeks tops from receiving the application. If you are in a real hurry, they could be persuaded to prioritise it, but would need a genuine reason for doing so (E.g. imminent flights).
WTR can often be quicker than a normal work visa because there is no need for Approvals in Principle, etc. But it does depend on the volume going through at the time, and how long it takes to get a case officer assigned. You could of course have a day out in London and take it down in person!
