Hi All
We received a letter today confirming we had been selected and telling us that they are now doing preliminary checks and they hope to have these completed and an invitation sent to us within the next 6 - 8 weeks...
Did anyone else get theirs today - we were selected 4th August....

Ah - just had a thought - we won't be at this address in 6-8 weeks.....
I do hope they won't mind us changing our contact address to a PO Box in NZ...
Anyone else done this ?? i.e. moved to NZ whilst in the middle of application process? |

Well done Moorf, we might be here already, but your closer to getting PR than we are.
We were selected yesterday |

Hi Guys,
For those of you who got the letter from NZIS indicating that once verification was complete you'd get an invitation. Did the letter mention an interview or work permit rather than PR straight away?
Cheers,
Mark. |

Unfortunately only 105 - No points for wife, and apparently I have one foot in the grave.
But I am confident that 105 will be enough soon, and then that should be enough to persuade potential employers to look at me!
If not I'll get there for a WTR. For some mad reason my confidence is higher now than at any time in the last 2 years
all the best to you and hubby
cheers

Mark - no mention of visas or work at all...
Just says "We are conducting some preliminary checks of the information you provided to determine whether the claims in your Expression of Interest are credible. Following this checking you may be invited to apply for residence in NZ."
Then gives contacts no,s for enquiries etc.
And my envelope was from Singapore too! hmmmm |

Thanks Helen!!
I'm just getting a bit paranoid about this interview/work visa thing, I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Log into the website as normal
On the right hand side it should say something like "First Draft ... Selected"
If you click selected it says exactly whats in the letter, ie.
| Quote: | Selected from the Pool
Congratulations.
We are very pleased to confirm that your Expression of Interest has been selected from the Pool for further consideration.
We will conduct some preliminary checks of the information you have provided to determine whether your claim is accurate. Following this checking, you may be invited to apply for residence in New Zealand.
We wish you all the best with your Expression of Interest. |
