Don't know about the rest of you but panic is setting in now.... been reading and re-reading the "next steps" - seems simple *cough*.
Half of me wants to celebrate and half of me is wondering if we'll get rejected
Plus I am worried that our trip to NZ in September might be inappropriate or might delay things - do we need to be in the UK to do all this Residency stuff?
Oh boy... |

how I feel, I feel good actually got selected. However, I think the journey to really really get the residency is just still long ahead...meaning, we still have to find a job offer (to have a better security), waiting for the invitation (which don't know how it's going to take) and many aspects to concern... |

| Well, if anyone is doubtful then feel free to pull out. They'll have to lower the requirement and I will stand a chance... |

| Cautious at the moment is my feeling, though I've wanted this moment for quite some time the fact its still in preliminary checks means I feel its too early to still get excited |

Hmm so what can go wrong when they do their checks - assuming no fibs on the forms and no previous drug running convictions aren't we all as good as in? |

I hope that's the case but am starting to get frustrated now as we were picked 4 weeks ago today and still haven't heard any more. Well done anyway.

Congrats to all with EOI acceptance. Hope it goes all the way for you.
My wife just got involved in the process for the first time and has recalculated our points. We can only scrape 105, not the previous 120 I had it at. Never mind, will carry on with the Ltbv application anyway.
Good luck all. |

I think its the paranoia of messing something up, or not having fully understood the system (lets be honest the chats we've had about points mean we are all confused :D )
Fingers crossed though everything will be OK for all ... then when its all over we should meet up a year from now for a big party :D |

Good luck to you as well Timbo.
Since my last post a few minutes ago I have checked our page on the NZIS website (for the 453rd time!) and it has actually changed at long last. Quite amazed really as it says "Decision Successful". Not sure what happened to the "Verification" stage and still had no contact re a case manager etc - but who's complaining.
Just won a big case as well so a good day all round - but may not think that when I'm flipping burgers or whatever in NZ!
Michelle's on her way back from Egypt - long day as she left house at 6.45am and not back until midnight, but at least some good news for her return.

Hi Moorf
I am back now, what a day. Many congrats, it really doesn't seem to be a problem sorting things out over there once its started and best of all when you go out you can tell employers you have already been selected, no messing about with work visas.
To all those hoping the points continue to fall good luck, when we strated this whole thing it was 195 and now look at it.

Phew Michelle - u must be knackered!
Yep, good news indeed and after a day of ringing around and sorting through files we have most of the paperwork sorted or in the pipeline (except medicals which we may have done in NZ as I believe cheaper).
Only thing I worry about is that we didn't fully finish the filling in of my family details and concentrated on the areas where points were gained - will we get a chance to fill in the blanks sometime in the process?
Strange that you didn't get any correspondence from them ... hope they don't do that to us, I'll explode with anxiety!!

Hi guys,
Congratulations to all who have been selected now - great news!
As someone who's going through the application process, let me assure you that NZIS does try to make it as painless as possible. At this point, they need bodies to immigrate and they say quite clearly in the blurb you get with your invitation that they want you to be successful in your application. So, they're really not looking to trip you up.
Good luck all.

Checked our EOI and realised I'd put the e-mail address in wrong so I think that could explain it!!
